A sales-first CRM with calling, SMS, and email built in, and Chloe — an AI sales agent that calls, qualifies, books, and updates the record — included on every plan.
Close is the CRM for teams that live on the phone. Calling, SMS, and email are native rather than integrated, so every touch is logged without a rep doing anything, which is why inside-sales shops — agencies, recruiters, insurance, real estate teams — pick it over a general-purpose CRM. The 2026 addition is Chloe, an AI sales agent that went generally available in June on all plans: it calls leads, qualifies them, books meetings, and writes back to the record, with 500 to 2,000 AI credits a month depending on tier. Chloe is English-only for now (third-party coverage reports US and Canada availability) and new enough that there are no independent critical reviews yet, so pilot it on one lead source first. The plan ladder is published, from Solo at $9 a seat on annual billing to Scale at $139, and calling usage is passed through at cost on top. The long-standing criticisms stand: reporting is weak, search is hard without technical skills, and the sales structure is rigid with little customization. Buy Close if your reps make fifty calls a day and you want the dialer and the CRM to be the same thing. Buy Pipedrive if you need a pipeline, not a phone system, or HubSpot if marketing and sales have to share one database.
