UiPath's advantage in the agentic era is unfashionable and real: it already runs in production inside thousands of large enterprises, with the orchestration, governance, credential management, and audit that deterministic robots required. Agents inherit all of it. That combination — an agent that reasons about an exception, a robot that executes the deterministic steps, an orchestrator that manages both — is closer to how enterprise automation actually needs to work than an agent framework alone. The platform spans RPA, API automation, intelligent document processing, agents, and business orchestration, with a separate Test Cloud. Pricing is mostly quoted: Automation Cloud Basic starts at $25/month but is limited in scale and hosted in the European region only; Standard and Enterprise, which is where agents, document classification, process orchestration, bring-your-own-model, and credential vaults live, are contact-sales. The old critique still applies — RPA maintenance cost is real, and agents do not remove it.
