Overview
The no-bot design is the whole product thesis and it is a bigger deal than it sounds. Granola listens to system audio instead, so it works in Zoom, Meet, Teams, in-person meetings, and phone calls with no visible third party. You type sparse notes during the call and it merges your notes with the transcript into a coherent write-up afterward, which produces noticeably better output than pure transcription because your notes signal what mattered. It connects to Claude, Cursor, and Figma over MCP. The free tier retains notes for 30 days only — that retention limit is the real upgrade trigger, not a feature gate.
