AWS framework-agnostic runtime for deploying, securing, evaluating, and governing production agents at scale.
AgentCore is the answer for teams that have already prototyped an agent and hit the operational wall: identity, session isolation, memory, tool gateways, observability, and policy enforcement are all things you have to build before an agent touches production, and none of them are the interesting part. AgentCore provides them as managed services and is deliberately framework-agnostic — bring LangGraph, CrewAI, Strands, or your own loop, and run it on any model. It went generally available in October 2025 and has been filling out steadily through 2026: Evaluations reached GA in March 2026 for continuous quality assessment of production traffic, Policy controls added governance over agent behavior and access, and the Harness for pre-production testing hit GA in June 2026, alongside expansion into additional regions. If your organization is already on AWS, this is the default place to run agents; if it is not, adopting AgentCore means adopting AWS.
